Chris Bocklet scored a career-high four goals and Army Capt. Adam Fullerton entered at goaltender late in Wednesday night’s contest as the Denver Outlaws defeated the Ohio Machine 17-13 at Sports Authority Field. The Outlaws drew a Major League Lacrosse record 30,128 fans to the game, which featured fireworks afterward.
Fullerton, who recently completed a one-year deployment to Afghanistan, made a save and picked up a groundball in his first professional action since spring 2011.
The Outlaws got off to a blistering start, leading 10-1 at one point in the second quarter. The Machine eventually pulled within 13-11 before Denver iced it.
