Interstate 76 has reopened in Logan County after fire crews put out a series of brush fires that closed 10 miles of interstate between Atwood and Sterling Wednesday night.
A powerful thunderstorm passed through the area just before 8 p.m. with dry lightning ahead of high wind gusts, according to the National Weather Service.
