DENVER—The summer is already over for some Denver teens.
Students at Manual High School are starting a new extended school year Monday. The 210-day schedule will include about a month’s worth of visits to college campuses and other locations where they can apply what they’ve learned in the classroom.
According to The Denver Post (), the trips will include a bus tour to Little Rock, Ark. And Memphis to learn about the civil-rights movement. Freshmen from the school will also learn about storytelling along with students from the Pine Ridge Native American Reservation.
