A memorial service for Armando Montaño is scheduled at 10 a.m. Sunday in Colorado College’s Shove Memorial Chapel, 1010 N. Nevada Ave., the Gazette reports.
Montaño, a graduate of Palmer High School, of an apartment building near where he was living while working as a news intern for The Associated Press in Mexico City.
Montaño, 22, recently graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa.
His mother, Diane Alters, is an academic communications specialist, and his father, Mario Montaño, is a professor and chairman of CC’s anthropology department. Alters was formerly an assistant city editor for The Denver Post.
The investigation into Montaño’s death is ongoing.
