Career highlights: Lester is a two-time world bronze medalist (2006-07) at 66 kilograms and was favored to make the Olympic team in 2008 but was upset in the semifinals at the trials by 18-year-old Jake Deitchler. He was fifth at the world championships last year. Lester grew up in Akron, attended Northern Michigan University and is a member of the Army’s World Class Athlete Program at Fort Carson.
