Aurora police are calling a man suspected of four armed robberies in that city since Sunday the “Waistline Bandit,” because of where he carries his pistol.
The same man might also be responsible for four other robberies in Denver, Aurora police said.
He is suspected of robbing the Radio Shack at 17150 E. Iliff Ave. Sunday, Doc’s Video at 16863 E. Iliff Ave, on Monday, and two stores on Monday night: the Subway sandwich shop at 2648 S. Parker Road and the Game Stop at 17062 E. Quincy Ave.
The Denver robberies occurred between July 4 and July 9.
The robber is either white or Hispanic, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a medium build.
He usually wears a dark-colored knit cap
The Aurora Police Reward Fund and Crime Stoppers are each offering rewards up to $2,000.
