Two drivers have been hospitalized with possible serious injuries after a head-on crash in Arvada Friday afternoon.
Sheridan Boulevard between 72nd & 64th avenues was closed through rush hour due to the accident, but reopened about 6 p.m.
According to Arvada Police public information officer Jill McGranahan , one driver was headed south on Sheridan Boulevard at 64th Avenue when they crossed over into the northbound lane and hit a vehicle with another single occupant.
The collision occurred just before 2 p.m.
Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles. One was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, the other was flown by Flight for Life.
The exact condition of both victims is unknown.
