ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo.—A 47-year-old man has died in a fall at Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park.

The unidentified man slid about 100 feet down Andrews Glacier into rocks on Thursday afternoon while descending with some friends.

A park trail crew was in the area and recovered the man’s body.

Officials say he was from Castle Rock but aren’t releasing his name until his relatives are notified.

Rangers were able to help two other hikers in their 70s who ran into trouble Thursday. One declined an ambulance but a 79-year-old form Ballwin, Mo. was carried out on a litter and taken to Boulder Community Hospital.
