DENVER—Denver is getting a new archbishop to replace Archbishop Charles Chaput.
The ceremony for the Most Rev. Samuel Aquila (ah-KWIHL’-ah) is Wednesday afternoon at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver.
Aquila will become the fifth archbishop of Denver during invitation-only ceremonies. The position came open after Chaput transferred to Philadelphia in August.
