FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Colorado State University and the University of Colorado have announced record-breaking fundraising totals for the past fiscal year.
CSU says it set a record for fundraising from private donors with $111.6 million in the fiscal year that ended in June, representing a 31 percent increase from the previous year.
Meanwhile the University of Colorado Foundation says private donors contributed a record $228.6 million to CU, up 7 percent from the previous record set a year ago.
Colorado State says it had nearly 32,000 total donors, an increase of 14 percent from the previous year.
CSU also says it has ended its Campaign for Colorado State University, which raised $537.3 million, primarily for scholarships and academic programs. The campaign exceeded its goal of $500,000 six months ahead of plan.
