Festival: Mile High Dance Fest a wide-open (and free) affair

Saturday. One of the best things about the Mile High Dance Festival, returning for its third year this weekend, is not that it’s free — although we certainly appreciate that aspect. It’s that it takes place at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance’s open-air amphitheater, and dancing outside seems only right for the diverse, joyful cast of companies at the 2012 event. Robinson’s own ensemble will be joined by Ballet Ariel, 3rd Law Dance, Schiff Dance Collective, Fiesto Colorado, Grupo Folklorico Sabor Latino, Hannah Kahn Dance Ensemble and Kissdugu at the space just adjacent to Parker Robinson’s theater. 119 Park Ave. West. Vendors open at 5 p.m.; concert at 7 p.m. All ages. Free. 303-295-1759 or .
