Colorado new vehicle registrations in June surged 26.1 percent from June 2011, the Colorado Auto Outlook Report said Friday.
New car and light-truck registrations in Colorado continue to outperform the nation, the report said.
Year-to-date registrations, January through June 2012, increased 18.3 percent in Colorado versus the U.S. market, which was up 9.9 percent.
Tim Jackson, president of the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association, said the outlook for vehicle registration in Colorado “continues a very positive trend and supports consumers’ sustained demand for new cars and trucks.”
In Colorado, 73,661 new vehicles were registered from January through June 2012 versus 62,288 in the same period in 2011. The used vehicle market increased 3.3 percent.
