The state attorney general’s office said Wednesday it had no objections to University of Colorado Hospital taking over operations at Colorado Springs’ city-owned Memorial Hospital.

The state office has review power when a non-profit hospital is selling or transferring control of its assets to someone else. Attorney General John Suthers said university’s long-term lease pact with Colorado Springs will continue the basic community and charity missions at Memorial.
