All lanes in both directions of Colfax Avenue under I-225 will be closed beginning Thursday at 9 p.m. for work on the west side of the existing I-225 bridge over Colfax, according to a news release from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
The closure will remain in effect until 5:30 a.m. Friday.
All traffic, including RTD buses, will be routed around the closure with only emergency vehicles allowed access.
Eastbound traffic on Colfax will be directed on to southbound I-225 to 6th Avenue, from 6th Avenue back on to northbound I-225 and then exit to eastbound Colfax. Westbound traffic will be routed in a similar fashion on to northbound I-225 to eastbound I-70, then to Chambers, back to westbound I-70 to southbound I-225 and then exit to westbound Colfax.
One lane of Colfax Avenue will be open during this closure for emergency vehicle access.
