CRAIG, Colo.—Firefighters are struggling to contain two lightning caused wildfires in northwest Colorado.

The Wolf fire has scorched an estimated 1,200 acres Saturday, about five miles south of Elk Springs. Crews worked late into the night Friday to build an anchor point on that fire that’s burning in rough terrain near oil and gas facilities, as well as threatening critical wildlife habitat and grazing. Five miles south of that blaze, the Divide fire is burning on 250 acres.

Federal fire officials say there is no containment yet on either fire.
