• Roundup River Ranch, an organization that provides camp experiences to children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses, announced that the John Wayne Cancer Foundation has awarded a grant for $125,000 to send 50 children with cancer and sickle-cell disease to camp at Roundup River Ranch near Gypsum for one week this summer.

• Colorado-based Safeway stores donated $10,000 to Imagine, which serves more than 2,800 families in Boulder and Broomfield counties who have loved ones with developmental disabilities.

• Colorado State University announced its most successful year of private fundraising in university history, with donations of $111.6 million, a 31 percent increase compared with the previous fiscal year. Colorado State also set a record for the number of donors — just shy of 32,000, a 14 percent increase over last year.
