Two buses, with 96 passengers on board, were stopped Wednesday morning after officials received a bomb threat.
The two Trailway buses were bound for Denver from Salt Lake City when the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office was notified around 5:15 a.m. of a bomb threat. The buses, which had a scheduled stop in Fort Collins, were rerouted to The Ranch, at Interstate 25 and Crossroads Boulevard, where passengers got off.
Deputies arrested 66-year-old Roland Paul Arel of Sacramento, Calif., who they describe as a transient.
Arel has been charged with felony menacing and a felony charge for a hoax related to explosives or incendiary devices.
