ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—A look at Peyton Manning’s day at Denver Broncos training camp:

PEYTON’S PLACE: Manning was methodical again Tuesday at a practice marked more by injuries—right guard Chris Kuper broke his left forearm and rookie running back Ronnie Hillman tweaked his pulled hamstring—than anything else.

HOW’D HE DO?: Manning wasn’t quite the machine he was a day earlier, when he hit Eric Decker in stride with a 50-yard frozen rope that had Champ Bailey shaking his head in amazement, but he was very good again. He had particularly impressive throws to Decker and tight end Joel Dreessen.

TALKING MANNING: “There’s not a lot of turnover opportunities. Not a lot of quarterbacks are that sharp. I’d say 90 percent of them are not that sharp.”—Bailey.
