KIOWA, Colo.—The owner of an Elbert County trash company is blaming a worker shortage and heat for letting customers’ trash pile up.

Some customers say they have waited three weeks for trash trucks that never showed up.

RT Services president Jeff Cerame tells KMGH-TV () heat is causing his vehicles to stall and a number of workers have quit. He says he hopes to get caught up soon.
