A new creative ad agency called Grenadier will be based in Boulder, and will operate as an autonomous unit of the Kansas City-based Barkley advertising agency.
Barkley said that Grenadier will be under the leadership of ad industry veterans Jeff Graham, Mark St. Amant, Randy Rogers, Rob Hofferman and Wade Paschall .
Graham was previously at Crispin-Porter Bogusky.
St. Amant and Rogers are also Crispin-Porter Bogusky alums, according to Barkley.
Barkley said it decided on a Boulder presence to tap into the start-up creative community developing there.
Barkley said that Grenadier will focus on “ideals-driven entrepreneurial and challenger brands.”
Barkley said it and Grenadier will work closely on existing clients and in pursuing new business opportunities.
Grenadier clients will also have access to Barkley’s in-house expertise including consumer insights, design, production PR, interactive and social media, media buying and planning, and campaign analytics.
Barkley has 250 staffers in its Kansas City headquarters.
