TEXARKANA, Texas—A Northeast Texas man suspected of pretending to be a law officer and approaching two women has been jailed on $2 million bond.

Records show 25-year-old Jeremi Matthew Blake of Queen City was being held Tuesday on two counts of impersonating a public servant. Jail officials in Texarkana had no information on an attorney for Blake.

Blake allegedly was driving a vehicle with flashing lights when two women, in separate Bowie (BOO’-ee) County incidents, called 911 early Saturday. Both described a suspicious-acting man wearing a police T-shirt. Neither woman was harmed.

Deputies located a vehicle described by the women and arrested Blake. Officers recovered a fake badge and handcuffs.

Colorado records list Blake as a convicted sex offender in the Denver area for attempted kidnapping. Further details weren’t immediately available.
