 Aurora police said Tuesday the search continues for whoever lit a fatal fire at the .

The Aurora Police Reward fund announced a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction. Anyone with information can call a tip line at 303-739-6118 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

“This investigation is still on-going and very active,” Aurora police Sgt. Cassidee Carlson said in an e-mail to reporters Tuesday afternoon. “However, there have been no arrests and none are expected in the near future.”

The fire at 1747 Peoria St. began just after 11 p.m. on that Monday night and , 64, and her husband, Bounhieng Thammavongsa, 59, in their fourth-story apartment. Twenty-five people were injured, some of whom leaped from balconies to escape the flames in the hallway.

Investigators determined the fire was arson.

Carson said detectives continue to interview potential witnesses and hope “forensic testing on items from the scene that may provide some answers.”
