 The National Earthquake Information Center reports that a small earthquake was recorded in the central Colorado mountains Tuesday afternoon.

The center said the quake happened at 3:21 p.m. near Basalt and registered 3.3 on the Richter scale. There were no reports of damage.

The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 3.1 miles.
