DENVER—Denver police have arrested a man who said he wanted to turn himself in after a collision killed a pedestrian near City Park.
Police found a man with multiple injuries near East 17th Avenue and Garfield Street around 9 p.m. Sunday. The Denver medical examiner’s office says 48-year-old Shawn Crane later was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Witnesses said a dark SUV with front-end damage left the scene.
On Monday, Aurora police received a call from someone saying he wanted to turn himself in.
Denver police say 47-year-old Mark D. Deleon is being held for investigation of charges including vehicular homicide in connection with the collision.
