FORT COLLINS, Colo.—President Barack Obama is making the first of two trips to Colorado in less than a week on Tuesday.

The president is scheduled to appear at a rally at Colorado State University in Fort Collins on Tuesday as part of a swing through battleground state college towns.

On Sunday, the president is scheduled to appear at an event in Boulder.

Colorado is a key swing state for both campaigns and has been seeing plenty of the candidates. Obama’s Boulder visit comes as he prepares for the kickoff of the Democratic National Convention, which is scheduled to begin Sept. 4 in Charlotte.
