A motorcyclist died Monday night in a collision with an SUV in Westminster.
The crash happened about 9:15 p.m. in the intersection of the 5400 block of West 72nd Avenue, according to a Westminster Police Department media release.
The motorcycle collided with a Toyota Rav4 that was turning left into the intersection, police said.
The motorcycle driver, a man in his mid-40s, died at the scene. A woman on the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. Further details on the injuries were not available.
The motorcycle driver and the passenger were not wearing helmets.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
