PUEBLO, Colo.—A Pueblo police officer responding to a report of a man vandalizing cars has been shot and the suspect is dead.
Police say they received a report Wednesday of a man on a bicycle carrying a gun and found the man behind a business.
Police say the suspect shot the officer twice and the officer returned fire.
The officer was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the shooting is under investigation and no names are being released.
