The annual Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day festival is one of Colorado’s proudest traditions held in a setting that can’t be beat (a wide -pen green space in Snowmass). It’s the summer-into-fall weekend with hot days and cold nights, plus a drive to and from Aspen with the first glimpses of autumn foliage. Among this year’s musical highlights: Steve Miller Band, Sugarland, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Michael Franti and Spearhead and Kid Rock, pictured above. Fresh-faced Colorado folk band You Me & Apollo will kick off Sunday afternoon, and following two sold-out nights at Red Rocks earlier this week, Mumford & Sons will headline Saturday.
