COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency suspended wrestler Steven Andrus for one year and cyclist Cesar Lopez for three months Friday for doping violations.
The 22-year-old Andrus, from East Lansing, Mich., tested positive for marijuana and an amphetamine in a sample collected April 21 at the U.S. Olympic trials in Iowa City, Iowa. Andrus established that the amphetamine came from an ADHD medication, but wasn’t granted advanced approval to use the medication during competition.
The 18-year-old Lopez, from El Paso, Texas, tested positive for marijuana in a sample collected July 13 at the Junior Track Nationals in Trexlertown, Pa.
