The Roach Fire, three miles south of the Colorado-Wyoming line in the Roosevelt National Forest, is fully contained, officials announced Saturday.
The fire, which grew to an estimated 130 acres, was located in the northwest portion of Larimer County, about four miles northwest of Hohnholtz Lake.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Tammy Williams, spokeswoman for the U.S. Forest Service.
The fire burned in lodgepole pine in a mountain pine beetle area, where 50-to-70 percent of the trees had died.
The fire will be patrolled throughout the weekend.
Forest Service Road 203 is closed, along with 450 feet around the perimeter of the fire. Visitors in the area are asked to be cautious.
