Denver is expected to cool off later this week, but it could still continue to extend its record for days of at least 90 degrees Thursday and Monday.

The city pushed its record of days in the 90s this year to 70 Tuesday, when the high reached at Denver International Airport.

According to the National Weather Service, Denver could should still reach 85 Wednesday, before bouncing back to 89 Thursday, then tumble to 72 degrees Friday. Forecasters expect Denver to reach 79 Saturday, 86 Sunday, 88 Monday and 86 Tuesday.
