A 54-year-old woman was killed in a crash Wednesday evening, and the Colorado State Patrol blames the driver of the vehicle she was in for her death.
According to the State Patrol, 54-year-old Gina Jump was the passenger in a Honda car that turned into the path of an oncoming car at Colorado 83 and Northgate in north El Paso County. Jump, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to the hospital after the crash and later died.
Jump’s vehicle was driven by 48-year-old Dana Grignano who, the state patrol says, was headed north on Colorado 83 when she tried to turn onto Northgate. A 1994 Toyota headed south on Colorado 83 broadsided the Honda. Grignano had minor injuries from the crash and faces possible charges of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol.
