A long-time person of interest in the murder of a 10-year-old Lakewood boy has been charged with a sex-related offense in Arapahoe County.
John Ramsey “Felix” Chinn was arrested by Englewood Police earlier this month and made his initial court appearance last Thursday.
A booking document refers to the charge as “sexual assault on a child, rape” but an Englewood officer told 9NEWS the charge is related to sexual exploitation and child pornography.
Details of the new case against Chinn have not been released but a detective with Englewood Police told 9NEWS on Sunday that the new case is not connected to the 1991 murder of Jakeob McKnight.
McKnight’s body was found in a greenbelt near his Lakewood home, he had been stabbed 30 times.
