But if the Bulldogs win the Mountain West it will be led by a revamped defense.
First-year Fresno State head coach Tim DeRuyter, a successful defensive coordinator at Air Force and Texas A&M, has implemented an aggressive 3-4 front. Oregon stormed out to a 35-6 lead last Saturday but only scored one touchdown in the second half and committed three turnovers in a 42-25 win over the Bulldogs in Eugene.
