A Fort Carson sergeant was jailed Saturday morning after police say he broke into a sleeping woman’s home and attacked her in her bedroom.
Police say 25-year-old Sgt. Sitiveni Tupou was arrested just after 3 a.m. on the 3600 block of Agate Circle after a woman called police and reported the attack. The woman said she heard loud noises in her house before a man broke down her bedroom door and attacked her and her dog.
The woman was able to escape as police arrived.
Officers said Tupou resisted arrest and was eventually subdued by a police dog.
