COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Fort Carson soldier accused of poaching is due in court Monday.

Tyrel Weber was picked up on a warrant in Albuquerque. He is accused of poaching animals, hunting on private land without permission and abandoning a big-game carcass last year.

According to KKTV-TV (), court documents indicate Weber told authorities it felt good to have a gun in his hands and do what he was trained to do.

Court documents indicate Weber confessed to killing at least 10 antelope in eastern El Paso County on private property.
