COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police have recovered an urn containing the remains of a 2-year-old child that was stolen from a car over the weekend.
KRDO-TV ( ) notified police after the station got a tip that the urn had been found in a trash dump at the Timbers Apartments on Sunday.
The man who found the urn said he discovered the remains in a backpack.
The unidentified woman was moving to Colorado Springs when the urn was stolen at the Radisson Hotel on Saturday morning. Her vehicle was among 10 that were broken into in the area.
Police say no arrests have been made in the case.
