Saturday-Sunday. This is an ambitious fall for classical music along the Front Range, full of unusual and rare things like the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado’s season-opener, a presentation of Alessandro Stradella’s “La Susanna” this weekend. The piece was written in 1666 and follows the tragic adventures of the young heroine, whose likeness was also captured on canvas by Rembrandt and Picasso. Soprano Laura Heimes takes the title role with Abigail Chapman, Daniel Hutchings and Peter Becker along. Tekla Cunningham leads the musicians. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church, 1128 Pine St., Boulder; and 3 p.m. Sunday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1600 Grant St., Denver. $23. 303-889-1012 or .
