DENVER—The Colorado Department of Transportation is asking companies to help them come up with plans to relieve congestion on Interstate 70 through the mountains.
The department said Wednesday people have until Oct. 10 to send in their ideas.
According to the Denver Post ( ), the department has already received unofficial inquiries from 150 companies from around the world who want to participate.
The state plans to set up high-speed rail or other vehicles to transport people from Jefferson County to the Eagle County Airport to relieve traffic backups that can last for hours on weekends and holidays.
