DENVER—Police say workers in south Denver have spotted a car matching the description of a vehicle suspected in a fatal hit-and-run over the weekend.

Police say the workers saw the car parked next to railroad tracks near Jason Street and Louisiana Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say there is probable cause to believe the vehicle was the one that struck and killed 32-year-old Laura McDermott around 1 a.m. Sunday. McDermott was crossing the street at South Broadway at East Cedar Avenue when she was struck.

The driver is still at large.

On Tuesday, investigators released surveillance video that showed a glimpse of the vehicle believed to have struck McDermott.
