COLORADO SPRINGS — A man accused in the death of his ex-wife’s suspected lover and of trying to kill a judge and an attorney involved in his divorce case has been sentenced to prison for witness tampering and perjury.
Bruce Joseph Nozolino was sentenced Wednesday to 21 years in prison in the separate witness-tampering and perjury cases. He received a 16-year sentence on four counts of witness tampering and a five-year sentence on a perjury conviction, with a judge ordering the sentences served consecutively.
Prosecutors said Nozolino tried to influence people who were called to testify before a grand jury that was investigating him. Nozolino is awaiting trial on charges related to a 2008 shooting death and attacks on an attorney and a judge.
