
Icelandair will increase its flight schedule between Denver and Reykjavik from four to six times a week beginning in 2013.
The route will increase in regularity due to its strong reception in Denver. Icelandair began operations to Denver .
The airline also plans to expand its service to various European destinations in 2013, including St. Petersburg, Russia and Zurich, Switzerland.
“In 2013, Icelandair will operate the largest flight schedule in our 75 year history,” said Michael Raucheisen, spokesman for Icelandair.
Icelandair is a sponsor for the this weekend, highlighting Iceland’s culture and lifestyle through food, film, and music. Events kick off on Thursday with a special Icelandic four-course menu at Coohills Restaurant.
