COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Police say a 38-year-old man died after accidentally shooting himself at an apartment complex in Colorado Springs.
The Gazette ( ) reports authorities were called to an apartment in the eastern part of the city at about 3 a.m. Saturday. Police say the man was in another room when his sleeping fiance heard the gunshot.
The man, whose name has not been released, died at a downtown hospital.
