The financial secretary for Golden High School has been arrested for alleged theft from an at-risk adult.
Judith Eakins, 53, was arrested at the school Sept. 26 on a warrant out of Westminster, according to police.
Eakins has been charged with attempted theft of $500 or more from an at-risk individual, said Pam Russell, spokeswoman for the Jefferson County district attorney’s office.
Eakins is out on a $20,000 bond, Russell said.
Lynn Setzer, spokeswoman for Jeffco Public Schools said Eakins is on administrative leave pending the investigation.
