Friday-Sunday. A music group has to be pretty confident to program an entire weekend of concerts under the title “Music for Choir and Saxophones,” and we’ll give the Ars Nova Singers a hardy endorsement simply for keeping the fall concert scene so interesting. It helps that they’ve earned our trust over 26 years of top-notch concert-making. And also that they’re mixing some Philip Glass (“Vessels,” from the film ” Koyaanisqatsi”) into the show. And also because they’ve got the talented Colorado Saxophone Quartet in tow. Hey, maybe this isn’t so risky after all. Hear it at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Boulder; 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Broomfield Auditorium, or 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Denver. $12-$22. 303-499-3165 or
