ENGLEWOOD — “Wildman Phil,” who makes his living traveling to schools and parties, educating kids on creepy, crawly reptiles and animals, had his Suburban stolen Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday morning, the vehicle was recovered, and all the animals inside it were found safe.
The vehicle was recovered near Harvey Park in west Denver.
Phil Rakoci had stopped at the Englewood Walmart about 5 p.m. and went inside to get some supplies.
He said he had to leave the vehicle running to keep the reptiles warm. When he came out 20 minutes later, his SUV was gone.
