A woman who was shot in the head in Larimer County is in critical condition Thursday morning and a suspect has been arrested in the case.
The incident happened about 10:45 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Park Place Drive in Larimer County, according to a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office media release.
Deputies responded to a report of a shooting and found a 24-year-old woman who had a gunshot wound to the head, the sheriff’s office said, and also a 56-year-old man with minor injuries from an assault. Both were taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.
The man was treated and released and the woman remains in critical condition.
Raphael G. Ogaz-Montoya, 25, was arrested on suspicion of assault and domestic violence, the sheriff’s office said.
He was held at the Larimer County Jail and has a court hearing scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
