WESTMINSTER, Colo.—A teenager arrested in the death of a 10-year-old Colorado girl and in a separate attack on a runner is expected to be advised of the potential charges against him.
Arapahoe Community College student Austin Reed Sigg is due in court Thursday in connection with the death of Jessica Ridgeway, who lived about a mile from him.
She disappeared Oct. 5 while walking to Witt Elementary School. Her remains were found five days later.
Authorities say Sigg also will face charges in the May 28 attempted kidnapping of a 22-year-old runner at the Ketner Lake Open Space. Police have said the two crimes are connected but they refuse to elaborate.
