Your next chance to see the Looms in Denver will be during their two day stint at the Ogden Theatre, Dec. 30-31.

Flashlights get gussied up with “Scarves”

mesmerized throngs of new fans opening for New Order at the 1stBank Center earlier this month (check out Reverb’s review ). The duo just released a new single, “Scarves,” scheduled to be part of the upcoming “Static Spectrum” compilation from Purr Tapes. Look for an accompanying video to the single to hit the webz Oct. 31.

ATO to release John Denver tribute album

“Sunshine On My Shoulders” is synonomous with the 300 days of sunshine that our blessed Centennial state receives annually. The adopted son of Colorado, , is gone but not forgotten from our daily “Rocky Mountain High.” ATO Records wants to do its part by releasing “John Denver: The Music Is You,” a compilation boasting contributions from heavy hitters such as Dave Matthews (yes, this is the second DM reference in this column), Amos Lee, My Morning Jacket, Sharon Van Etten and more. Look for the release to hit the streets in February 2013.
