Getting your player ready...
Jimmie Gilbert, a linebacker averaging nearly a sack per game for College Station (Texas) A&M Consolidated High, has committed to sign with Colorado for the 2013 season, reported Tuesday.
The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Gilbert chose Colorado over Purdue, Iowa State, Boston College, New Mexico and Tulsa.
“I committed to Colorado,” Gilbert told the website via text. “The chance for playing time as a freshman is what sold me on the Buffs. They were ecstatic.”
Gilbert leads 8-2 Consolidated against Klein in the state playoffs this weekend.
